Ooops

It's been some time since I last posted on here so apologies for that. My writing time has been taken up by GBS and most things I've wanted to write about have been game related so I popped them in there.

I actually can't believe it's 16th December already, Christmas Day in nine days! Doesn't feel like it at all! Although to be honest, yesterday at work oddly helped a little.

You see my boss is a complete Christmas nut; she gets excited at the mere mention of the word let alone when it actually happens. With one thing and another, times in our office as a whole haven't been the best with some serious questions being asked of who we are and what we do. I won't bore you with the details, but it does mean that we've all been feeling very much under the thumb, none more so than my boss (naturally, seeing as the buck does stop with her).

Just over a week ago it was decided that we'd do our annual office Crimble decoration. It was a fun afternoon in a way as we all got to relax, have a bit of a laugh and make the place look gaudy as hell. Personally I think less is more, but there you go. We did all that, but my boss didn't get to decorate her office which I have not known happen in four years of working there. So I decided to brighten her office up and decorate it for her.

By now you're probably thinking I'm trying to be some kind of goody two shoes and suck up to the boss. Two reasons why not; that shit just doesn't wash with her (I've seen people try and it does nothing for them) and I honestly had feck all else to do it's that quiet at the moment. Someone else came and helped for a bit as well and we had a bit of a laugh doing it, and in a strange way it put me in the mood for the festive season.

So I wake up this morning (to the sound of next door going at it again. If you'd seen them, it's enough to put them off your Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner!!!) feeling all Christmas-y. A fact helped by the sight of the first real frost we've had here since the beginning of Winter.

That's another thing, has Winter actually started yet? Yesterday I was walking around outside with just a long sleeve top on. Round our way at this time of year it's normally wrap up warm weather. I'm not complaining but I do like to have proper seasons, you know, warm barmy Summers, cold icy Winters. Maybe it's just me but I find it makes you appreciate the different times of year more. Maybe I'm just getting old and thinking about this stuff too much.

Life just generally feels good at the moment. Yeah I've got my worries like everybody else, mostly revolving around money and how much I owe to various organisations, but I learnt something a number of years ago that is so true.

You can't live for tomorrow. Sure, look forward to things, anticipate the future, but don't make it your lifes goal to wait for it to happen, otherwise everything will pass you by. Enjoy now, cause it goes to quickly and changes before you know it! In short, don't be afraid to enjoy what you enjoy.

I'll tell you the reason why I've come to realise that in the new year and you'll understand exactly why I think like that!

I'll also try and do a little review of 2006 in teh next couple of weeks, what was good, what sucked. It kinda helps to summarise where you've been to understand where you're going I think. Oh and on a lighter note, don't forget to check out GBS soon for more articles from us all. I've got two going around my head but just need to sit down and put words to screen.
