You've all heard them before, you know, the 'life's too short and fragile' kinda thing. The sort of comment that in everyday life you just brush off as the throw away comment it often seems to be. Today I've been reminded just how true that is!
A very good friend of mine, the guy who was Best Man at my wedding only last year, has just been through possibly the worst Xmas and New Year ever after he was diagnosed with some kind of virus making him seriously ill. To the point that if it occurs again, in his own words, 'I'm fucked!'
Not only have I just realised how shit a friend I've been since last August, but it's made me think that procrastinating over stuff in life that has no overall consequence is totally pointless. And you know what, I think everyone could do with a wake up call every once in a while, though without such possible drastic consequences.
